Dr. Bob Gunther
Dr. Bob Gunther is a well-known community pediatrician with Augusta Pediatrics in Fishersville. He and his wife, Kathy, have three grown children. They’ve made their home in the Tree Streets of Waynesboro for the past 22 years.
Bob grew up in Pennsylvania and received his doctorate in medicine at Penn State University. He completed a pediatric residency with honors at the University of Kentucky and has been in pediatric practice since that time. Bob serves on the clinical faculty of UVA and VCU Schools of Medicine, in addition to being President of the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Bob is known as an active and invested member of the community. From youth sports, to church, to local schools, Bob has shown a true passion for volunteer work. Bob has worked with several organizations on short-tem medical missions in Congo, Guatemala, and the Caribbean. As an advocate for local children, Bob has worked with countless organizations over the years. He currently serves on the Leadership Council of Shenandoah Valley Smart Beginnings, and has previously served as a member and chair of the Waynesboro School Board. Bob is a founding member and currently serves on the Waynesboro School Health Advisory Board. He also volunteers as Chairman of the Waynesboro Parks and Recreation Commission and initiated the grant process for the first lighted youth baseball field in Waynesboro.
Lorie is honored to have this respected physician on her Leadership Team. Lorie is particularly inspired by Bob's deep commitment to the well-being of local children; a cause that is also close to Lorie’s heart. Bob's personal and professional accomplishments make him an invaluable resource to Lorie’s re-election campaign.
Mr. Carl Rosberg
Carl, and wife Cheryl, grew up in Augusta County and have lived in Waynesboro for over 20 years. Their two sons grew up in the city and attended Waynesboro Public Schools. After a 20-year career, Carl recently retired from NTELOS as President of the Wireless Division.
Carl is deeply invested in the Waynesboro community. Over the years, Carl has put his business expertise to work for local organizations and nonprofits. Some of the boards Carl has served on include the Waynesboro Economic Development Authority, Shenandoah Valley Partnership, Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Waynesboro High School Boosters, Blue Ridge Community College Local Board, Blue Ridge Community College Foundation, Virginia High School League Foundation and Oak Hill Academy.
Carl and Cheryl attend Waynesboro First Baptist Church. As an active member, Carl serves on the Personnel and Stewardship Committees, in addition to holding the role of Treasurer.
Carl brings a great deal of knowledge and wisdom to Lorie’s re-election campaign. In addition to business acumen, Carl offers extensive knowledge of the city and its citizens. Lorie is proud to have such a distinguished member of the community serve on her Leadership Team.
Mr. William Pfost
William (Bill) Pfost is a respected and involved member of the Waynesboro community. Bill received his BS Degree from Penn Morton College (now Wiedner University) and later pursued Masters-level courses at UVA. Bill and his wife reside on Pelham Drive in Waynesboro. They have 4 adult children and 12 wonderful grandchildren.
Bill proudly served as CEO of Wayn Tex/Thiokol from 1955 to 1991. He has also owned and operated a small franchising business and warehousing businesses. Bill previously taught at Blue Ridge Community College, Cecil County Community College and Goldey Beacon Community College in Delaware.
Additionally, Bill has a long history of volunteer work within the community. He presently serves on the Board of Augusta Health and is the Chairman of the Shenandoah Shared Hospital Board. Through the years, Bill has been involved with countless civic organizations and community groups. He formerly served as Chair of the Sunnyside Retirement Board, Chair of the Summit Square Board, Chair of the State Chamber of Commerce Board, and was a member of the Blue Ridge Community College Board.
Bill’s experience in the corporate world and his long-term community involvement are just two of the many reasons why he is such an asset to Lorie’s re-election campaign. Lorie deeply respects and appreciates Bill’s contributions to the Waynesboro community.
